How does this work? How would it affect the tone if you had a Vox AC30 and a fender hot rod deluxe going at the same time?

How would i switch between the two? any info appreciated.

thanks!

i was looking for this earlier, the KFK 10 band eq lets you do it, and so does an AB Y splitter

He didn't tell me how it affects the tone when you use both together, so I bumped.

I used to play around with dual amp setups a lot, & just used a 1/4" jack splitter you get at Radio Shack for $5. I just used some old junk pedals (with no batteries in them) in line to shut the individual amps off (shut off the signal to it, not shutting off the amp) if I wanted. That worked good, it was either on bypass or killed the signal when you "switched on" the effect that wasn't powered up. The amp tones seemed to sound the same. I used a 100W Marshall & Fender Dual Showman w/ a ProCo Rat in front split to both. The truth is, it seems like a cool idea, but at stage volume it sounds somewhat muddy & inarticulate, because you keep wanting to hear one amp clearly. It's hard to explain. It depends on your style too. For huge power chords it's kinda cool, but not for speed metal/shredding stuff.

if you want both to run two at the same time, you can use an a/b/y switch.
Or a Y cable for your guitar.
