I'm a total novice when it comes to recording, but I'm at a point where I think I need to get a MIDI controller/keyboard for instruments and microphones as an audio interface for my computer, at least for what I'm planning to do.

I'm basically using this as a guideline. http://www.engadget.com/2005/02/08/how-to-turn-your-mac-mini-into-a-low-cost-recording-studio/

The audio interface they have there is a M-Audio Ozone and it seems okay, but the How To was made in '05. I've checked and I don't think they even make the Ozone anymore, so I can't help thinking there's something better.

I've checked the M-audio site, and what they have now doesn't seem to cut it.

Does anyone have any controllers that they'd recommend?
I'm really looking for something that has at least mic inputs, a keyboard, and lots of instrument inputs, basically lots of plugs and crap on the back so I won't be limited by the lack of (whatever goes here) that it doesn't have. Drum pads are not exactly required, but they'd be really nice. I'm on a budget too, so if it's <$350 that'd be cool. But please post stuff even if it goes over that a little.

Thanks for your helppp.
