hey guys i decided to get a way better now that i can hear what crap my amp is. Anyways i need help, because i'm not really sure what to look for. I want an amp that has good sustain and is cracky when it's in overdrive. I play rock, hard rock, and a little metal, also i'm willing to spend up to $500. Oh yeah, i forgot to say this will be my stage amp when i am preforming. Thanks

I guess for rock, hard rock and a little metal you can't got wrong with a Peavey Valveking combo, I guess that'd be in your budget, they come to around £200 odd over here...

A Peavey Valveking + an overdrive will suit your needs well. At lower volumes the gain may be deceptively low, but when you crank it, it may be more than you need. I'd say try it first.

There is a lot of good gear in Minnesota. Just look out for cows crossing the hwy, they can kill a chevy pick up... And an amp...
