I'm 21 years old and been playin guitar for bout 4 years, and have gotten pretty decent....I was thinking about picking up a saxaphone again...i havent played since 3rd grade so i only know the basic technique of playing. How hard would it be to pick it up again and at least play solos in one key within a year?

If you have a good musical ear, not hard at all. Generally, instruments become easier to learn as you become a better musician as a whole.

It's always good to learn other instruments, because the knowledge of one can always be applied to another.

It's not terribly hard to learn scales, especially if you understand the theory behind it. Just get a good teacher, and it shouldn't be hard at all to pick up the sax again
