ok well my friend decided to get into guitar.

And he HAS to get a starter pack (his dad says he refuses to buy anything seperately). So he needs a decent starter pack around 200$.

So what are some good starter packs that cost around 200$? (guitar, amp, cords etc. come with it)
thanks in advance!

squier strat pack. for the price its actually a pretty good guitar

this. the amp is a load of sh*t though, and a chromatic tuner would be a nice investment.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Ibanez Jump start is the way to go....with a little setup it will be a decent ax

The Epiphone SG Special Pack would be good if he likes to play metal. The guitar isn't all that great, but it's got two humbuckers for playing rock, metal, and blues. Although, the amp is actually really nice for coming with a starter pack. It's not a real high-gain amp, but it's got great sound. That'd be my best suggestion, and it's about $200 There's also a Les Paul Special Pack for like $220.
