Currently for my live set up, i run my mesa head on the drive channel, but the best metal tones are found in the 'countour' channel, however i need the countour on solos to i can cut through the rest.
Are there solo boost pedals so that i can play with the amp on the countour channel, and then have some boost for solos?

Cheers, Ben

well if you have no spending limit i would suggest a maxon OD. they would boost it perfectly, to cut through the mix.

Sounds like a gd idea, would a Ibanez TS-9 do sufficiently as well?

well maybe, but the guitarist from killswitch uses maxon and so you know it does sound super good in a rig, but it depends if you like their tone but in general for metal they can get a good cut solo. yeah the ts-9 should suffice but i would try it in your rig first.

You could use a Ibanez ts-9. If I was you I would mod it first though.
Signatures are overrated.
