The Last time I posted something in here (i think) about learning how to make your own music everybody told me to learn a lot of music. Some people told me to practice some more difficult stuff so i could use the guitar without thinking. Im still working on all of that.

Right now im going by album (Gish -SP, Self titled -Queens of the stone age, ect.) and im wondering if any of this is sinking in. I can't write any better now then before. What would be a good idea.

best way to get better at writing music is to do just that. write music. don't be surprised if your first 5, 10 or even 100 songs are awful. take a couple riffs that you have written and see if any of them fit together.

for the record being able to play without thinking about it and knowing theory and its practical applications are definitely a big plus
