Just listened to The Beatles' White album. Helter Skelter is the ****. They aren't just some overrated psychedelic band that started a trend after all...

Anybody got some other ground-breaking albums for me to try?

Dark side of the Moon- Pink Floyd

or the Wall.

and how about Year Zero by NIN.
Its not groundbreaking but its good.
I can do it!

QFT. In my opinion, one of the most unjustly underrated bands in history in America. They got big in England but they were banned in the States during their prime years, and they performed poorly when they were allowed back in. Ray Davies is probably one of the best songwriters ever and Dave Davies is a master guitarist.

And the sidewalk bagatelles, it's like a dream
With the roar of cars and the lulling of the cafe bars,
The sweetly sleeping sweeping of the Seine...

I liked Abbey Road better, but maybe that's just me.

And I liked Sgt. Pepper's better.

But only by a little.

Magical Mystery Tour's pretty good as well.

Yeah, get Sgt. Peppers. Its boss.

Oracular Spectacular by MGMT is an awesome recent album.
Odelay by Beck is super good.
I want to second Paranoid Android by Radiohead, it changed the way I thought of music.
Also, Funeral by Arcade Fire.
Disraeli Gears by Cream or Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane are two great psychedelic albums from that era.

EDIT: Oracular Spectacular is the MGMT album. Time to Pretend is a song.

Both my favorite albums from Pink Floyd and The Beatles.

For the TS, I'm not sure what you have and haven't listened to, but I'll suggest some underrated albums:

Quadrophenia - The Who
The Madcap Laughs - Syd Barrett
Morrison Hotel/Hard Rock Cafe - The Doors
Wheels of Fire - Cream(I love As You Said and Politician...)
The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner - Ben Folds Five
Revolver - The Beatles
Atom Heart Mother - Pink Floyd(That and Meddle are underrated)

EDIT: Also, A Saucerful of Secrets too, Pink Floyd's most underrated album with nothing but hit after hit on it....
