or did Johnny Cash seem to get a lot more rock influenced and a lot more... odd (in a good way) the closer he got to death.

You think he was? Listen to Willie Nelson's Twisted Willie album. Kim Thayil from Soundgarden is on it. I think Jerry Cantrell is, too.

Still.. Hank Williams Jr>All.

I love you =] I can't say I was very fond of you when we first started talking because you trolled the hell out of my threads, but after talking to you here I've grown very attached to you.

Yeah, write to my fanclub about it, honey.

I think I just day dreamed Kim Thayil being on there. That happens sometimes. I know Jerry was on there. All I'm saying is people from Seattle make things better.

agreed, which makes me proud that I am a washington state musician fairly close to that city.

and is it possible you were thinking about Kim Thayil being on there because Johnny Cash covered Soundgarden's "Rusty Cage"?

Durrrr, and his first name? All names are nouns! Regardless of whether they are an object too.

Cash definately too in more rock influences in his latter years - just look at some of the songs he covered then.

And an adjective. That shit is SO cash.
You are like a hurricane
There's calm in your eye.
And I'm gettin' blown away
To somewhere safer
where the feeling stays.
I want to love you but
I'm getting blown away.
