i use 10's on my strat and i love the feel of it in terms of tension

my question is on a fender jaguar (24" neck as opposed to the 25.5" strat neck) what string gauge will i need have the same tension as the strat

sorry if this is a bit confusing, im tired and trying to explain it the best i can

i was thinking eleven's btw

09 Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster
09 Fulltone OCD V.4
10 Ibanez WH-10 V.2

97 Fender Hot Rod Deluxe

Yeh the SICK! bit sounds a bit stupid.

I'm using Ernie Ball .9's at the moment since I'm just starting out and I thought the lighter gauge strings might be a little bit more forgiving. I'll probably switch it up to .10's in a few months time

I tried Dunlop .9's and didn't like the sound they produced even to my incredibly unrefined ear but I'm much prefering the feel and tone of the Ernie Ball strings

yea, you'd need some thicker strings to keep the tension, but i'm not sure which... i think 11's should be fine, maybe a bit tighter than your strat but should be alright...
