Hey.

I remember someone posted a Razorback a while ago with a picture of John Travolta photoshopped onto the front of it, could anyone explain exactly how to do this please? I'm a total photoshop noob.

Thanks in advance.

Oh and i thought i'd mention, i first posted this in the guitar customising section, only to be told that i had been reported because it was in the wrong section!
Yeah....

Layer order (Top to bottom):
J.T. Picture
Guitar with transparency around it
Background

1. Select J.T. Layer
2. Go to Layer > Create clipping mask
3. Select 'Group with previous layer' or similar
4. ???
5. PROFIT!

I'd prefer a picture of Kensai on my guitar.

I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.

I'd use a displacement map to map the image onto the surface of the guitar, so it follows any curves or contours. I think there's a tutorial on how to use displacement maps on www.polykarbon.com, but it's definitely not for n00bs, so only try it if you have enough time to play around or know what you're doing
