I need an amp to keep at my dads... and I can't lug my Bugera up there all the time, so I was wondering what the best amp for that price range is.

Idc if it's solid state or tube.

roland cube. I almost have enough for a 60w that im about to get, but the 30w one is right in your price range at $245.00 and it will probably suit your needs.

What kind of music do you play?

Its not about the Radio its about talent, the front man has a bigger vocal range than Micheal Jackson and he can sing from heavey metal to high pitched ...No.12 on the top 20 under rated guitarists of ALL TIME...etc

There is a AD50 on the NJ Craigslist for $285, south jersey site. That or a cube 30 would probably work out well. I don't know how well the VOX does metal tho, you would have to try it out and see if it works for you.

Based on what you say I still stick by the cube, Vox would be a good choice too though.

For solid state check out a Roland or a Vox. If you're looking to go tube then something in the Crate V series would probably be your best bet in that budget.
