I have 2 questions:

Im getting a Distortion pedal and dunna which one, and Boss MT-2 Metal Zone or a DigiTech Heavy Metal Distortion pedal

And the second is, Do you have to have 2 cables to be able to use a distortion pedal?

the metal zone is a great one until it breaks, and you need two cables. one from your guitar to the pedal, one from the pedal to the amp.

They're both pretty bad. If you're set on a distortion pedal, go for a metal muff or something.

To answer your other question, in as simple words as possible: You need two cables, because with one cable, it wouldn't be connected to your amp

Yes, you need two cables, but avoid those pedals.
Feel free to call me Kyle.

Just so you know, I read everything you type in a Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs voice.

Its that a lowish price, and is that the BEST youd recommend?

At that price, yeah.
If you really wanted something worthwhile and good, those blackstar distortions (forgot model name) have a lot of praise around here.

Yeah.
Or, if you already have a good tube amp, perhaps go for something like a Tubescreamer or something.

Okay, Ima get something, and what are some good DiMarzio pickups, Im planning on getting DiMarzio DP207 Drop Sonic

Don't bump after 12 minutes, PLOX.

New pickups won't matter much if your current amp is crap. What amp do you have at the moment?

well like everyone is going to tell you... on a cheap little amp that you got pickups wont make much or a difference at all...

A new amp is the best thing you can get right now... But if your set on a pedal, get a pedal that will still sound good when you finally upgrade to a tube amp too... save you money in the long run

Put towards an amp. I think a cube30 or a micro cube would be great for you.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

Im just gonna say save, as i checked and the 60 watt raven is 200. Your not gonna get nothing for that save a a cube 20x or microcube, for metal anyways.
