Me and me dad have just been arguing over which country make the best Whisky/Whiskey. Ireland or Scotland. I say Scotland, and he says Ireland

for the sake of the US we'll add U.S. Whiskey to the poll even though I think its a load of crap.

Japan and India both have writhing whiskey productions, but as far as I know, they're very closely related to Scotch, Irish or Bourbon.

I'd say scotch whiskey is far superior. Bourbon is nice as a going out drink. Irish I just don't like. Give me a Glencairn rusty nail though, and you're my friend for life.

USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA!!!

But seriously, Scotland.
Did you know the odds of a Vault-Tec shelter failing are 1,763,497 to 1?

So imagine life in a Vault-Tec Vault. Not just a future.
A brighter future... underground.

Dunno, it was bought for me. However, I will find out for you. It was ordered from a specialist whiskey supplier at Lincoln Xmas market, so I will find you out details when that comes around again.

I get the distinct feeling I'm in the minority here...

My preference is the whiskey of the great land of Eire, which everyone else has been bashing thus far... screw you guys...

I agree that Tennessee s and Bourbons are good for a night on the piss, but as a sipping whiskey, it's gotta be Irish. To me scotch tastes like someone took good whiskey and filled it with smoke. Must just be my cretinous, unrefined palate...

I think its down to personal taste. Me Dad LOVES Irish Whiskey but hates Scotch, with me its vice versa. I do like your gusto though!

jack daniels is awesome
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean ? It's a mystery, and that's why mankind is.

it tastes rubbish. Seriously. Try drinking any other whiskey and you'll get what I mean. Not enough care goes into it. Its just mass produced crap designed to be mixed with coke

the best whiskey you can get pretty much anywhere is "Maker's Mark." its great, sweet, smooth but expensive compared to others due to how much they chose to put out.

and canadian whiskey? crown royal is a huge fan favorite among a lot of people i know. i think its terrible but they swear to it...

The only things the US makes best are movies, cheeseburgers and bombs

Maaan....wouldn't a movie about a killer cheeseburger with a bomb be pretty cool?

The only good thign wild turkey has going for it is that it's strong. 50.5% IIRC. The overall taste is about as fortunate as it's name.

^ take that jim beam, find yourself some dry vermouth, angostura bitters and some kirsch and make yourself the best Manhattan you'll ever drink. Tis my own recipe, and works well with most US whiskies.

Try mixing it with Ginger beer. Its a fantastic mixer if the whiskey isn't any good on its own.

I tend to mix it with cheap stuff like "Teachers" or "Grants"

Having tried virtually every whiskey out there (Local stuff excluded, though I'd be happy to try it if I could get my hands on it), I really can safely say US has the best, my preferred one being Noah Mills. Extremely hard to find, the distillery only puts out 10,000 bottles per year.

It is in my opinion the creme de la creme of whiskey. Smooth, great finish, and light burn of a most appetizing nature that makes you swirl it around in your mouth for quite some time before swallowing. (inb4 'thats what she said')

If you can't find that, just hit up some Johnny Walker. I prefer Gold or Blue, but some of you of, shall we say, 'lesser budgets', might want to stick with Red or Black.
