well guys just got back from my 45 day ban today and i have lots of questions about gear

1) is the boss BR-600 a good device for basic recordings?
2)from the new vox satchurator pedal what range of tones can i get?
3) im looking for a new amp and im loving the new marshall vintage modern series and the tones from them, i need 30 watts for small gigs, band practice and that sorta stuff, but the VM series is a bit out of my price range, are there any similarly voiced amps for a bit less money?
4) also im looking to build a guitar in the spring next year and i wanna know where in the UK i can get dimarzio pickups in the cool colours?

cheers guys

ive used the br-600 a few times and the sound quality is pretty solid, and its pretty easy to use, if your looking for a cheaper marshall voiced amp look at laney, they're priced relatively low and sound pretty sweet
Gear:

MIA Fender Stratocaster
Jackson Kelly KE3
Ibanez Universe
Marshall JCM 800
Orange Jim Root Terror
Mesa 2x12
Ovation Custom Balladeer
pedals and such in profile

reeli, some of the demos ive seen of the VM sound pretty good, and paul gilbert and slash use them and they have great tones, but their tones come from the player rather than the amp, but laney might be good, VC30 looks nice

From what I can recall, Slash, dunno about the Gilbert, uses a Fulltone OCD over the VM. And he's only used it on a couple of Velvet Revolver tracks, don't think it's part of his live rig. He still relies on his Jubilees.

Every time I've tried out the VM, I've thought it was awful. Just fizzy and bad, the overall tone wasn't very much like a Marshall.
