well i seen in many topics the word "resolves" what i think i know is that if you have the root note its "V"(fifth) will resolve, right? that means that the V of the root note will sound o.k? and that is only for chords or scales too? btw i know this is from music composition, where i can learn that? thanks for the replys.

Resolution is when a song feels and sounds "completed". You can achieve this by ending on the tonic (first) chord or note. If you're in the key of A minor, a proper resolution would be to end on an A minor chord or an A note. The Dominant (V) chord is usually followed by a tonic chord. It creates tension and then releases it.
