It's been a while since i have done math and i am kind of not doing well in some parts. but instead of just asking my questions i figured i would make this a place where everybody can. answer peoples questions or post your own.

This is cool because I'm going into Calc this year and am going to drown in failure.

Math is by far my worst subject, I get like straight B's all the time, ever since Algebra.

i usually do well. but i un-learned over the summer. and i missed the first day.

EDIT: ok, first question. how would i solve -3(2-m)-m=2(m-1)?

There is a Math/Science thread for these kinds of questions. Use that.

distrubute

-6 + 3m = 2m - 2

balance

3m - 2m = 6 -2

m = 4

And I believe we should keep this thread. Noone really bothers to answer everything in a math/science thread.

You just made this thread AFTER I finished my Calc homework

You would multiply the insides of the parentheses (2-m and m-1) by the outsides (-3 and 2). then, you would combine the like terms and solve for m

ok thanks. see.unlearning i used to know that i think

to the dude below me...i know. unlearning. lol. can't wait for real calc

And lulz. That's basic algebra, not Calc.

hows about finding the limit of sinh/2h as h approaches 0?

use l'hopital's rule

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%27H%C3%B4pital%27s_rule

otherwise, I think you can prove it either graphically or with an inequality, can't remember

I'm afraid you're wrong there.

-3(2-m)-m=2(m-1)

-6 + 3m - m = 2m - 2

-6 + 2m = 2m - 2

2m = 2m + 4

2m - 2m = 2m - 2m + 4

0 = 4

Can not be solved/null set.

I'm actually reporting, for once.
