Currently I have a Schecter Omen 6 Diamond Series and a VOX AD 30 VT amp.

I am considering upgrading to an ESP EC 1000 Deluxe along with a Boss GT 10 and new gold tipped inputs.

The ESP 1000 comes with EMG's an 81 and a 61. I have never used EMG's before. Will this setup give me a good sound for both hard rythms and deep solos or will I get a more metalish sound. Also is this setup going to be worth the money? I'm planning on playing live and I need affordable equipment that can still give me great sound.

Also when it comes to the Boss GT how much will this improve my sound?

emgs are known for their crystal clear sound(which I really really hate)...

what i would do is keep the schecter and get a better amp. you're not going to improve your sound buy getting the esp and dumping a multi-effect pedal on a modeling amp.

The $850 ESP wouldn't improve my sound over a $300 Schecter? Also why wouldn't the effects pedal help?
