is there any effect that will make a regular electric bass sound like a double bass?

Regular electric bass as in.. a fretted electric bass? With a fretless electric you can come closer, but in all reality, not even a frettless acoustic bass sounds like a double bass, that's why they are different instruments.

The closest you could get would be first put flatwounds on it and then turn up your bass setting.

you should get an electric double bass though, those things are sick!

i would get a electric one but it still dnt sound the way i want it to

The Fender B-dec has a Double basser effect option.

Sounds as close as it can get.

im going to guitar center tomorrow to try out the b dec and look around to see what i can find

i just need a pedal or sumtin till i get enouph money for a slap king which could be a while =(
