ive been playing a while now and whenever i play songs like holiday by green day which a mostly power chords my middle finger and little finger(pinky) hurt quite a lot and i have to stop playing. i do warm up exercises and all that stuff before i play.

but those two fingers always end up ether slightly bent or dead straight and ether way it hurts like hell.

just keep playing till your calisus are like steel. then you can finger like a machine.

trust me, wait till you learn to stretch then you'll have a REAL sook

If it's your actual fingers rather than a lack of calluses, then just stretch your fingers when you aren't playing and use a tension ball or something. If it's the tips of your fingers, then just keep playing till you develop calluses, and don't play through any pain.

When you're playing are your middle & little finger stiff or relaxed?
It sounds like they're too tense and straining too hard in one position.

If thats what it is (and I've understood your problem correctly) try concentrating on keeping them relaxed when you practice and if you notice them start to stiffen stop, stretch your fingers for a while then start again.

Like the third poster said though, don't play through pain.
