I posted this in the accessories, etc forum but here it is for you guys too.

I want to swap out the PU's in my LP. The 496 and 500 are just too strong (mainly the 500t). I've already got a seymour duncan 59' for the neck. What would be a good pickup for the bridge position? I was thinking something a little hotter than the 59 for the bridge position.

I don't like metal , mostly classic rock and I play through a jcm800.

thanks

same as mine then, Seymour Duncan Alnico 2 Pros.... slash uses them, incredible cleans, the nuts if you use a pedal or amp for distortion. theyre amazing, trust me.

so you use alnico II's in the neck and bridge? With all due respect to Slash I've never wanted to sound like him. but if the tone is balanced and not really High output then I may give it a try.

again, i'll say SH-14 Custom 5. it would be perfect for what you need. awesome cleans and good distorted sound. it's like a 59, only hotter.

Fernandes Telecaster (Twang King/stock bridge pickup)
Blackstar HT-20 (Scumback 55 speaker/ Tung Sol tubes)
