What are some good exercises to help build up wrist endurance on the picking hand?

Thanks.

weights wouldn't hurt...you could change the way you hold the neck, or even get some weights, and use ur wrists to "curl" it...

adn why do you have a Gibson LP thru a Line 6?

Oh...well then that's different...obviously. The weights thing could still work, but I'm not sure what to do for picking hand. if you play standing up, it could be the height/angle of the guitar, or even if you're sitting, you could try and hold the guitar differently (classical maybe). Also, you could be holding your pick wierd. And I feel ya...I am gonna have either a Squire Strat playing thru a Mesa Boogie Dual Rect. or a Gibson LP Studio thru a VOX AD15VT...lol...it's gonna be either a nice guitar or nice amp...lol...I can't afford both.

I wouldn't sell the lne 6 b/c they ARE fun to mess with, but I would definitely get a new ap...if u work, set aside 10% or w/e u can afford just for a new amp, if u don't work, get a job, and if u have a job and can't afford one...then at least you have a damn nice guitar. lol

You know I have bit of the same problem.. but I figured that some kind og PowerBall helps. (U know the balls that you rotate with your wrist thingy)

Play until it starts to hurt. Stop for about 10 seconds, then start again.

The pain is your muscles getting broken down, when they rebuild themselves they come back stronger. The pain/burn isn't bad, it's just on the way to becoming a competent guitarist.

I would suggest not putting so much wrist movement into your playing. It's not necessary. Move your fingers....
