hey dudes, i was thinking of modding the strat body i have lying around. my question is, i want a good all round guitar that can play from hendrix to guns n roeses to a7x and everthing inbetween. should i get a h/s/s setup or a s/s/s with a single spaced humbucker ?

HSS for versatility.
Ibanez RG321MH (Air Classic/Tone Zone)
Fernandes Telecaster (Twang King/stock bridge pickup)
Blackstar HT-20 (Scumback 55 speaker/ Tung Sol tubes)
TC Electronic Nova Repeater
Lava Cables Clear Connect, Soar and Mini ELC

i was looking into single spaced humbuckers because i want to keep the classic strat look, would they be hot enough in the bridge to play punk and lighter metal as well as being able to play hendrix rhcp ?

it's suitable for those but IMO, you wont get that classic strat bridge tone with a stacked single coil.
