Hello

I would like to know what the best head/cab combo would be for around £500, i mainly play metal (well i try to ^.^)

I want something with a lot of balls if you know what i mean :P

Hmm, if I was you I'd go for a high quality combo amp rather than a Half stack. Yes I know they don't look as cool but with a half stack you'll have more power than you'll ever use, and moveing them is a bitch

But if you really must get a cheap solid state halfstack the best one is the one in the Randall RX series, I've forgotten the pricse model name. Check them out.

But have a look at some high quality combo amps before you get a half stack

theres a laney VC50 on a certain internet auction site which will remain unnamed for a mere £250 which is basically a GH50 in one box

you could prolly pick up a used JCM900 combo for 500
