this will probably get closed

but what does everyone think the most popular instrument is nowadays (be honest)
vocals(not an instrument but oh well) electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, or drums.

im not gonna put stuff like clarinet on here, cos these tend to be the main ones people play for music courses in schools and stuff.

ive put vocals on here because you can do the GSCE music course if you sing

where i'm from its a bit of a 2 way tie between electirc guitar and drums. but most people i know went through a phase when they were 8/9 years old and played guitar and got to high grades and then got bored
remember kids, you can't spell bass without ass

Also, I would tap Helena Bonham Carter like a Van Halen solo.

EDIT: TS, There are a lot more instruments in the world than that. You fail completely. Go back to band class, learn something.

I meant to vote for vocals. Do you realize how many people sing? Even people that aren't generally musically inclined still sing.

yes...i think this because A LOT of musicians first instrument is piano even if they do play mainly guitar or anything else

Everyone plays electric guitar.
Your opinion is just that, YOUR opinion. It doesn't make you right. It doesn't make you better. It doesn't make you god. Everyone has their own view and that view is neither right or wrong.

Forget the people who aren't musically inclined and there are still more vocalists out there than anything else.

I think what he means is... what rock instrument is more popular. Or of those choices, which is more popular. There are too many instruments in the world to create an accurate poll.

I picked e-guitar because guitarists are a dime-a-dozen, whereas there might be people good at singing but how many of them are actually serious and have a PA or something.
Peavey HP Signature EXP (SH4 JB/ SH2 Jazz)
Jackson DK2M
Fender MIM Stratocaster HSS
Fender MiM Telecaster

Peavey Vypyr Tube 60
Fender Blues Jr.

Vocals are definitely what most people pay attention to. You don't sing along to the guitar line.

I've seen more people attempt GCSE music with keyboards.

I did mine with vocals though. Ehhh.... don't particularly know what to vote ://

Bass guitar

Seriously though, vocals, everyone likes to sing from time to time.
NO ONE EVER READS MY POSTS.

if there is one thing I noticed, its that to many people play the guitar, and not enough people play the other instruments necessary for a band. That's just from my experience, I don't know about anyone else.
