Cheap Whammy Pedal:
Buy a mic and then hook up to PA.
Hire a mexican miget and hide him in your cab
When you want to go 2 octaves higher kick the stack 2 times and the miget should sream into the mic at the right point.
Alternatives to mexican migets are also cats.
The advantage of having cats is that you can control the screech by standing on them
All items should be available at your local wallmart

I found mine on Ebay with a Buy It Now of $135, and it came to about 150 shipped.

While we're on about Whammies, I have a question.

Can using it on the octave down settings damage your amp?

Alright, I didn't think so because of how I've seen some people use them (Jack White in particular) but I was just being paranoid because I'm in love with my amp.
