its called a violin :\
that would extremely akward to play the way i think your thinking of but they do have electric violins

Well, first of all, you have to angle the neck and fretboard to give the strings a large amount of lift off the body. Then you've have to have massive heights to even support something like then. Then, the curves of the body have to duck in to allow clearance for the bow. After all of that, then you can worry about giving the fretboard a really high radius to make it play easier with a bow.

And if you're really keen, you might want to think about how awkward it will be playing something like that.

Low radius. But yeah, you're right about all that. If someone were to build a guitar like that it'd be nearly useless for anything except playing with a bow.

if i were to do this, i'd get a cheap strat knock off, with a similar bridge, maybe witout the whammy, then adjust the bridge, making the high e and low E really low down, the A and the B slightly higher, and the D and G higher still, then maybe buy a new nut (it might have to be custom) and file it down so that it has a curve to the strings, it would be awkward to play though, like really awkward.

better idea,

just get an E-bow.

You could make a viol. Six strings and fretted. They predate the modern violin instruments.

Or just get a custom made neck with a radius of about 42mm and a bridge with a similar radius...

What I was gonna say I'm pretty sure you can get ones made to play in an upright guitar position, too (as opposed to violin or cello style). If you can get one at all, that is...
