This is the setup that Randy used according to his guitar tech. http://guitargeek.com/rigview/54/

Although you know what he used, unless you have $1000s it might not help, but I have Guitar Rig 3 and that amp modeling pretty much nails the sound. Take the important parts of that gear and use them.

Marshall JMP amplfiers with cascading gain mod.
Marshall cabinets with Altec speakers.
MXR Distortion + as a boost.

+1. Don't forget the crybaby, he used that too. I believe he used the dist + mainly for lead sound on the clean channel though I may be mistaken.

TS: His sound was basically just a hot rodded Marshall with tons of mids and a lot of treble.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

Um...that is just a cabinet with speakers. Every amp is different. It may help if you give us your amp and set up.

On all of the amps I've used, a low bass setting works magic (2-3 works best). Hope that helps.
"Look, ma! I can play Van Halen's Eruption!" said the five year old child, who proceeded to press random frets as fast as his tiny little fingers would allow.
