hey dudes, for my next strat project im wondering wether to buy a complete usa strat pickguard for £122 or a wilkinson complete for £44 and lob a duncan hot rail ( around £60ish ?) in the bridge for more distortion handeling power ?

ive heard good things about wilkinson http://www.axesrus.com/pickassy.htm < click on the sound bytes in the top right for a comparison with a usa fender.

This strat will be for hendrix, rhcp and also classic rock and possible a very small amount of punk.

and btw i know i have a strat fetish. they're the only guitars for me

If you're on a budget I've heard GFS single coils are pretty nice. I can attest to their neovin pickups being pretty good. If your not on a budget maybe something high end from lindy fralin or the like?
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

^How much do you want to spend. There's is a guy on this site that makes some nice pickups. You could tell him exactly what you want and he could make a set for you. He gives UGers a 10% discount.
