Guys I have a 100 watt tube amp, I want to play it cranked but 100 watts is too loud.

is it true that if I remove 2 of the power tubes it will cut the wattage in half to 50 watts and sound much better at a lower volume?

it will be half the power but wint give a dramatic volume drop

you want a power attenuator like a weber mass or THD hotplate
Get off this damn forum and play your damn guitar.

^Agreed. The only use I'd see is you'd be able to get an attenuator with a lower wattage rating which would be less money.

As far as attenuators go I stand by my weber Mass. They're pretty cheap and the higher end ones are loaded with extras.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not
