i know that theres one more string but is there some factor that makes them so much better than 6s? cause i was thinkin of buying an Ibanez rg7321, thanks for any advice

the 7th one is thicker for heavier riffing. but i've heard of people of just putting one above the high e for more range in soloing.

Everything you can do with a 6 plus more?

Extra notes, chord shapes, arpeggio shapes, some times a chord shift on a 6 string can be made much easier by using the 7th string, you can play lower songs with out having to change tuning
