i dnt know weather to get a floating tremolo equiped guitar or a fixed bridge (or string through body) guitar. what would you recommened. i play mostly metal.
Do you do a lot of dives and other type playing? If not, there's no reason to get the tremelo.

depends on the type of metal you play, but i like fixed bridges personally, such as tune o matics. makes for better palm muting imo.

but most metal ive noticed uses floyd roses and the such.

I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.
the question i like to ask myself sometime is do u like to change tunings alot cause if so stay away from FR and locking nuts haha

i'd say go for trem, only adds to creative options

+1, provided you're not changing tunings all the time. it would be a PITA then.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
