I'm in need for some metal instrumentals playable for two guitarists, one bass-player, and a drummer.

Something like Metallica/Exodus/Megadeth... With solos and melody (preferably).

Thanks!

Orion by Metallica, even though IMO it sucks balls.

Hangar 18 by Megadeth, you could just drop the vocals on that one, and it's got some nice solo swapping.

Hybrids Of Steel by Arch Enemy is a really good one apart from the fact that it's tuned to C-standard and it's not really along the lines of Metallica or Megadeth.

That's all I can think of for now, hope that helps.

Nah, I just have a different opinion to you.

And yeah I have listened to the song properly. I had to learn it last semester for my ensemble at Uni, and it was then that I decided that it's boring and I don't like it. It's got some good riffs, but overall I just find it too plain and boring.

I'm not a huge fan of it myself, but, still his comment was a bit dumb.

So as not to spam, I know it's not that much like your listed bands, but In Flames do some pretty good intrumentals, but the names escape me at the moment

Orions main riff is beatiful.. and the first solo.. well the first part...

but To Live Is to Die = best Metallica instrumental/song

hmm how about The Dance of Eternity by Dream Theater? one guitarist does guitar, and other does keyboard. oh yeah have fun with that too lol

Ok, so I decided to use the search bar as I'm sure this question has been asked before, and here's a few results I got:

Call of Ktuhlu - Metallica. (don't think I spelt the name right)
Voice Of The Soul - Death. (might not be quite appropriate as it's an acoustic guitar and two electrics)
To Live Is To Die - Metallica.
Into The Lungs Of Hell - Megadeth.
Man Made God - In Flames.
YYZ - Rush. (not sure if it has a keyboard)
Technical Difficulties - Racer X. (best of luck )
Dee - Randy Rhoads.
Get Out Of My Yard - Paul Gilbert. (again, good luck )
Crystal Planet - Joe Satriani.
Fluff - Black Sabbath.
Losfer Words - Iron Maiden.
Ecstasy Of Gold - Metallica.
Absolution - Megadeth.
Cosmic Sea - Death.
1776 - Iced Earth.

That's just from the first 2-3 pages of the search I did, and there's still heaps to wade through. Have a look here for some more stuff.

That is THE BEST possible choice almost.

Or if you're good, try Textures by Cynic. That's impossible; if you don't have a solid band with solid skills though.
