and there's also "collosal squids" but thei're basicly just a huge sack with some small tentacles on them... but the giant squid has really long arms and a fairly long head...

I saw the video on youtube, but it was very long and you didn't get to see the good footage of the gian squid before halfway through... but it was really awesome... and you could see the squid just floating around underwater, but you couldn't see the head properly, but there was a reflection of it's eye...

pretty cool stuff...

Well if we've explored 5% of the sea, we've probably explored 0.000000000001% of the solar system.

Space is infinite, so that % is way wrong, we can't explore all space.

psh hasnt anybody seen the abyss? everyone knows that the aliens everyone keeps seeing are coming out of the ocean not falling from the sky.
#17
I must have seen that documentary 5 times. It rocks.

I wish there were more documentaries on the deep. It's fascinating.
#18
There's loads of weird stuff down in the depths. Much stranger and bigger animals than we've ever discovered yet, because the oceans are such a huge and difficult place to explore.

Makes me think of Planaria (flatwurms). Those creatures are AWSOME!
If you cut one in 2 halfs, 2 will grow out of that
If you cut like a tiny piece of tail off, a whole wurm will grow out of that (Imagine, every time you go to the barber you end up being multiplied by thousands)
And if you like cut his head in half (like if they'd do it with you it 'd be between the eyes, between the nostrils, through the mouth), he'll just grow 2 heads xD There have been critters like that with 20 heads or something xD

Anyone ever been to The Deep in Hull? Basically loads of interesting stuff about sea animals, and a huge (HUGE) aquarium with sharks and stuff. More of a kiddy place now I think, but still pretty good.
#24
so anyone heard of MEGALODON?!(mega-big shark)

some believe it's not yet extinct...

and some scienentists captured a sound underwater that they estimated was a creature 2 times as big as a blue whale ... WOW!

it's on youtube I think... "the bloop" I think it's called...

Yeah, we watched that last year in Biology. It's pretty cool.

So imagine life in a Vault-Tec Vault. Not just a future.
A brighter future... underground.

That is sick. I love Discovery shows, but anything about the ocean just plain kicks ass.

LOL NOOB

it's not infinite, there is a definate end to the universe. The matter of reaching it however does not exist for it is imposible to reach, even if we had the technology to do so.

Well, kind of yeah since space is constantly expanding faster than the speed of light.

We really don't know yet.

Only 5%!?, there could be anything down there, i remember reading about some soundwave from the sea (i think) that was supposedly from something much bigger than a blue whale. I always think there could be something massive down there.

I found it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloop
