OK, enough is enough, who do you think should stop making a fool of themselves and pack it all in!

Start Me Up sang Mick Jagger in 1981, (he's now 65).
Are 66 year old Paul McCartney's troubles still so far away, or can't he remember that far back?

Should Madonna be dressing like a 18 year-old?

Will Michael Jackson ever Beat It?
Yeah, I hope I die before I get old sang The Who.

none cause most of them probably still rock harder than 90% of todays music

See, statements like that require backing. Which can't be done. Ergo, you cannot argue your point. You are therefore are wrong.

Since when did Disturbed have anything to do with hardcore, pray?

And since when does the music you play decide your sexual orientation? And since when did it actually matter?

I'm backing him
And you can argue that from several objective factors like complexity of the music or work put in it or whatever.
Artists don't get time to put work in their music anymore, the competition is too vicous for that. Therefore, they don't make songs like they used to anymore. It's something the entire music industry knows xD
So he's not rlly wrong.

But in all seriousness, I couldn't care. If you don't like 125 year old Mick Jagger's music, then don't listen to 125 year old Mick Jagger's music.

Oh, Jesus. It was the norm, in the 60s, to release an album a year in pop. Hard working or not, they did not take their time over music. It was about hard touring, quick writing and recording, hard touring again until money or drug-fuelled breakdown followed, because the competition then to make it was far, far more vicious than it ever will be today, since every kid with a guitar would try to make it in a band. Now, it's more like an album every 3 or 4 years, with stupid blips on the radar like the obvious Chinese Democracy. And complexity of music =/= rawk, since 'rocking music' is hardly an objective term. Dream Theater rawks, so do Ramones and Fall Out Boy depending on the people you talk to and your own taste, K?

And 'they don't make songs like they used to any more'? Music evolves. Not everyone's going to sound like the Beatles. Deal with it. And remember, the proportion of bad bands to good bands was the same as today. We just forgot about the bad ones. We've had 40 years to do it.

disturbed to me: even though i shouldnt be judging them they may be good blokes, i hate these artists that arent good live, but somehow they gain skill when in the studio, yes i am taking in the factors of live shows, holy **** im still going. music to me is for triggering emotions, changing moods, the appreciation of the difficulty and dedication people have made toward learning an instrument, my analysis shows none of these, thus changing their sexual orientation and no sexual orientation doesnt matter about it, i simply stated there sexual orientation, as one would state the colour of ones hair, ive gone on with complete **** for too long

So you thought you'd call them faggots... what, for kicks?

Disturbed have no pretensions of being virtuosos on their respective instruments. They play simple, catchy music, and if you think that's insulting to people who are technically proficient... I don't know what to say.

no not for kicks, it comforts me that i can call them this, because of their success, riches, lies, etc, i use this as a coping mechanism to cover my sadness over the success that they have made from being sucky. It is probably for certain the jealousy that hits me on the inside of their, no work/ big money scheme.

its not the certain skill level that they are at, they are many levels above guitar playing than myself, my friends, which i respect, but the thing that i dont respect is the fake studio recordings if you will

Who do you think should retire from music? This was the question posed, i replied with disturbed and a bunch of crap, then went on to say that i dont respect their ways of work if you like. This fake studio recordings i keep 'moaning' about, is infact the reason why i believe they should retire from music, This fake studio recording is infact a successful method, i dont have any respect for it. Thus making me think that they should retire from music, which was the question. Unless you can quote that i said that it has to be absolutely real, in which you have corrected me, if not, i would like to continue discussing music.

I'd prefer it if the bands i'm listneing to on an album actually played their instruments on the album (that's an exaggeration but you get my point).

And I agree about ACDC
