I have been learning some songs that need to be played in Drop D, etc. Is there anything I should know about string tension, wear and tear on teh tuners, etc. if I keep dropping and going back to standard at times?

Thanks.

If you go D, E, D, E constantly without playing the string for a while, then tuner wears and your brdige will hate the constant lack of tension, then to much tension. As long as you dont flip back into D and E constatnly, then you'll be fine

Turning into D, playing a few songs, then back to E, will be fine with no wear and tear to the strings or tuners.
