hey guys
thanks for all the help so far
i just bought a sonic maximizer to "improve my sound quality"
i was wondering something though
people said they got the sound improvement through the amp, but how/

how do i connect the sonic maximizer with the amp setup?

is it? guitar -> sonic maximizer -> amp

but when i record is it differently like:
guitar -> amp & mic -> sonic maximizer -> recording hardware

i am just confused how to set it up

thank you!
(ps, since there are two ports on the sonic maximizer, would i just use it twice? or would that be bad/make no sense)

I've never heard of such a device before.

if you wish to record, I would recommend getting the amp sounding exactly how you wish it to sound in the studio room. then it is the engineers job to then position the mic in a spot to capture the sound of the amp.

its a "sound enhancer"

sorry for the ignorance
i have a combo amp, does that same loop still apply?
thanks!

what ever way sounds the best. last in the signal chain for the maximizer though I'd assume.

Try it in different places, and go with whatever sounds best to you. Sometimes a weird placement can have pretty cool effect.

But yes, the normal place would be last in the effects loop. Most combo amps do have an effects loop, so I hope this also applies to yours.

FX Send > Sonic Maximizer > FX Return. That's how mine is set up. And recording wise, mine has 2 inputs and outputs so I run the guitar through one, and then I run the mic through the other.
