Maple ftw!

I think the dark colored fretboard on the white looks weird....! This, the black one, is more harmonic in its presence, but you should pick the one that YOU like - not the one that WE like!

Promise you post some pictures when you get it, rigth?

the white one, i prefer ebony boards (whats the obsession with maple? i think it looks cheap and nasty!)

Strange how the white looks more metal then the black one.

I think you have to also take into account which wood you like for the fretboard more, though ebony and maple are closer than either to rosewood, both being quite dense and smooth.

Personally, white with the ebony.

Well, I prefer ebony too, but sometimes it just doesn't match up with the guitar finish! My Loomis has a maple neck and it's really awesome, but it would have looked like crap if my it had been on my warlock!

In this case, with the Jim Root telecaster, I think the ebony fretboard looks cheap and nasty!
It's all about personal preferences once again!

I don't think black wood is more metal than white wood!
Like black guitars isn't always more metal than white ones!

Again, a question of personal preferences!
