ok, the guitar is a Schecter Synyster Standard, its got Duncan HB-108's (poor mans Invaders), and im looking to throw a new bridge pup in it. maybe both, but for now bridge.

At first i thought i was gonna go with a Dimarzio, but then i just got the new guitar center catelogue in the mail, and i was flippin through and i seen some Gibson pups. I started reading about them, and i was drawn to the Dirty Fingers pup. i have no idea as to how they sound tho. >.<

I like a lot of low end, with a bunch of top end sear. I mostly play metalcore, melodeath, etc. but i also do enjoy dirty blues and classic rock.

My playing style, in case it would help to know, i am really good with arpeggios/sweeps, scales, etc. etc. Im ur average versatile metal head who likes to shred.

How is the Dirty Finger pup? can it be tapped? and if i were to change both out, what is best?

For my Schecter Damien 6 I took out the passive EMG HZ's and put in the James Hetfield 'combo'; an EMG 81 in the bridge because that's basically standard for metal, and the EMG 60 in the neck to help me get clean tones like Fade to Black.

I put some SD's in mine, and they sound really good (to me). I've been considering putting some Dimarzio's in though, just cause I think they might give me the final tiny adjustment to the sound I've been wanting.

Anyway, I vote either the fullshred for the bridge (like mine) or a Dimarzio. I don't think EMG's will give you enough of a diversified sound (although I had them once, sounded nice, didn't do cleans well enough, to me)
My gear:
Schecter C-1+ w/ Seymour duncan Jazz (neck) and Full Shred (bridge), with Sperzels

Rogue LX405 Bass
Yamaha classical
Some sort of acoustic Squier

well, im not really into EMG's. there just not my cup of tea. plus i'd rather go with passive pups.

Well, i was going to go with the Dimarzios but how is the Dirty Finger? thats all i want to know
