Yeah, I've seen guitarists with one active and one passive.
So I'm sure it's do-able.

yeah, my question was more aimed at the
EMG/Duncan issue, cuz i know they have
very different tones and, like mentioned above
magnetic fields

Well as long as thier both pretty high output it shouldnt be too bad, but i think that the mixed sound might be shitty

what kind of configuration are your potentiometers in? (master volume/tone? master volume, independent tone? independent volume and tone?)
