Sorry, but I need help with my homework.

Just to get this out of the way, I'm not just looking for answers. I've tried these problems multiple times, and I couldn't figure out. If you know how to do it, it'd be nice if you explained to me along with the answer, because not knowing how to do it won't make me too much better off.

Anywho, I'm solving for x.

My scanner doesn't work, so I did the first one in paint . The other ones were easy enough to type out.

y=180(x-2)

12-3x-2y=2y-11x+44

3x+3-2y+1+5x=29-36y-2x+12y+8-x

I'm not the best at math, and it's been a year since I've done this, so yeah.
1) Divide both sides by 8 and you get (3x/4) + (1/2) = (5x/8).

2) Multiply both sides by 8 to get rid of denominators:

8(3x/4) + 8(1/2) = 8(5x/8)

=> 6x + 4 = 5x

3) Subtract 6x from both sides:

4 = -1x

=> x = -4

y = 180(x-2)
y = 180x-360
y + 360 = 180x
(y/180) - 2 = x

Thats the first one.

12-3x-2y=2y-11x+44
8x = 4y + 36
x = y/2 + 4

The next...

3x+3-2y+1+5x=29-36y-2x+12y+8-x
8x - 2y + 4 = -24y - 3x + 37
11x = 33 - 22y
x = 3 - 2y

Hold on and I'll get the picture one(I couldn't see it when I quoted)

ok...the picture one.
8 * (3x/4 + 1/2) = 5x
6x + 4 = 5x
x = -4

EDIT: can you make sense of my work? Or is it necessary for me to explain it?
