Damn, I was expecting like a white V with gold hardware and a halo or something drawn on it. That would be sick.

It's just an excuse to charge more for less woods, xD

Instead of making all these stupid designs and making them cost an arm and a leg, they should start making thin neck, OFR guitars, with higher fret access.

While a pretty dumb idea, I think it looks at least pretty interesting.

I'd consider actually buying a Gibson if they stopped embarrassing themselves and spending resources making dumbass guitars and instead focus on making affordably competative quality guitars. Everytime I see one of these abominations I'm glad I don't have a Gibson.

That's what my mom said about my dad....

But yeah, I agree. I wouldn't say it's an ugly guitar, I mean it's not beautiful but it's unique, could easily be a signature guitar for a Black Sabbath-type band. I'm a die-hard Gibson fan and although this whole GOTM idea is interesting, they need to work on their factory quality first.

That guitar has holes in it. I think that's why the call it the "Holy V". It's like a pun.

only benefit i see is that you could easily hang it on a door knob or clothes hook.

The only thing I don't like about them is... It's not REALLY an LP if it's chambered, weight relieved (9 holed) is as far as I'll go. I liek em solid!

Yah, me too. I was thinking a brilliant white, with gold hardware, ebony board, and maybe an inlay of angels wings ala Ibanez's vine of life topped with a solid gold headstock.

that'd be the shit!

This. I would love it if Gibson made a model like a Les Paul or a Firebird for metalheads.

The Menaces and the BFG don't count, for those wondering.

Yeah, just don't buy a "shred" guitar from gibbo... Kahlers without a lock-nut can be a bit problematic-any modern responsive (Kahler, any FR, ZR, EP, ) trem needs a locking nut or that guitar just doesn't work right..

ill admit that looks kidn of cool but what a rip off, almost 2000 dollars for a guitar with one pickup (a '57 at that which is weird seeing most V buyers play metal), pieces taken out of it, no finish, and one tone knob???? if anything that looks liek a lower end gibson or something, i love Vs but that is just a dumb idea.

EDIT: also, its funny how they talk about how light it is, no sh*t sherlock, look how much less wood it has than a regular guitar, hmmm, i wonder if any gibson execs wanted to make the body out of concrete just so they wouldnt lose the standard gibson weight of "waytoofu*kingmuch" lbs
