I purchased a ampeg svt-450 head and an ampeg cab several months ago, and during a practice found that my cones were actually lighting up and glowing. I've talked to everyone about it, my band, the associates i bought the cab from, so before i contact ampeg i would like to know if anyone else has any ideas. And a couple more things to keep in mind, i use a bass with active pickups, and run the head without the pad. And the cab is also good for 1200watts... Any ideas?

Glowing like... cathode/LED's in it glowing? Or like getting ready to catch fire and explode glowing?

Maybe post a picture? Are the cones reflective at all? Maybe catching lights from something?

It sounds like a reflection...? Or sparking... have you played the bass through the cabinet while in the dark?

Well... I have no idea... that's weird. Is it brand new? Or has it been constant since you bought the cabinet?

(Speaking of which, what kinda cabinet is it? Make/Model/speakerx"s)
