Starting at 1:02 there are some simple riffs as fillers between verses. It's possible it could be a synth or keyboard, but I think it's a guitar. What effects do I need to get this tone? I'm hearing maybe some reverb and chorus but not sure. Thanks

I think hes doing harmonics.

However he is probably using a little chorus and reverb like you said to get his harmonics to sound like that

sounds like lightly distorted (think coldplay) guitar, with a fair dosage of chorus.
Sounds like he's just playing some natural harmonics.

yeah that's def natural harmonics. =) they're probably on the seventh fret 3rd-4th string judging by what key the song sounds in... doesn't sound too complex or anything..

but the lyrics... >_<

Yeah, it's definitely harmonics. I was able to reproduce the tone pretty good doing harmonics with a bunch of thick chorus and mild overdrive. Thanks
