As the title says what do you think the best movie of the 21st century. Mine is The Bourne Ultimatum. Great movie with tons of action. Now keep in mind my parents don't let me watch many rated r movies so thats the best one ive seen.

This "new" millennium is already 8 years old.

There have been to many great films to decide, although my top 3 just from the top of my head would include Cloverfield, 300 and The Dark Knight.

They credited us with the birth of that sort of heavy metal thing. Well, if that's the case, there should be an immediate abortion.

No, I just have a taste for unpretentious fun, rather than DEEP MEANINGFUL stuff.

I'm a thrash fan, see?

But yeah, the LOTR trilogy are epic win. However, none of them are great as a standalone film IMO. You have to watch them in sequence.

This was me throughout the entirety of Cloverfield:

Care to elaborate what you found so terrible about it? Or was it simply not pretentious enough for you?

Mines a tie between Cloverfield and Children of Men.

I'm not sure if everyone got the specific message brought through Cloverfield. Many people complained about the camera, but that's the effect. Given the situation that a monster does attack New York City, this is as realistic as a movie can get, in my opinion.

Children of Men was an amazing movie. It showed its own version of what could happen in the future. As well, it displayed its opinion on human nature, in an effective, and realistic way.

WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK THE DARK KNIGHT IS SO ****ING GOOD?????????????

My fave movie of the new minelium is.....urm.....walleeeeeeeeeeeeeee
#36
^ In response to the above.

I personally liked the Dark Knight. Did I think it was one of the greatest movies of all time? No. I'm not sure if people agree with me here, but I think the only reason people think the Dark Knight was the best movie, was because Heath Ledger was in it. I agree that Heath Ledger's performance was possibly the best of any villain. But does that make the movie the best?

No. Heath Ledger's performance was so ****ing good. Not the Dark Knight.
