I was never a fan of the Valvestates. I owned a newer AVT2000 and wasn't very impressed.

Supposively, the older Valvestates are much better though.


What's your budget? You might be able to get better.

My budget is 500 euro's but im thinking about buying second hand, that way i can get an older one too

Definitely a VC30 for older rock, or if possible, a used JCM 800 combo (if you can find one cheap enough)

I personally think it would be a mistake buying it over a VC30.


If you're buying it because it says Marshall on it, I advise thinking a bit more before you buy.

Waste of Money IMHO. The bigger Valvetronix amps aren't too great.


Go to local guitar stores. I'm sure they'll know who carries them
