OK, so my first guitar was an acoustic, a Falcon FG100R if you wanna get technical.

basically, it's pretty crap, it cost me £60...i just wanted something to learn on.
my parents have said i can't get another electric yet, so i figured hey, why not get a new acoustic?

so i've got two choices in mind..

Fender CD-140SCE

Ovation Applause Deluxe AE147-5

questions..

1. which is the better guitar for the money?
2. do i need an "acoustic amp" for them, as they are both electro-acoustics, or can I use my amp for my electric guitar for now?

thanks

Both are crap. Look at the Blueridge BR-140 or possibly an Epiphone Masterbilt. There both solid wood.

I don't think you could go wrong with either one. It just depends on what style you like. And you can plug those in to the amp you have already.
