I need to get into these guys. Most of their members are apart of The Sound of Animals Fightinh, and even though I know it's a completely different band, that alone is reason enough for me to get into them.

I really can't believe these guys don't have an official thread. They're the best live band I've ever seen and their latest album (and the battle begun) is just glorious, people seriously need to check these guys out. It's the perfect blend of progressive rock and a bit of ska/reggae.
The sounds of animals fighting are awesome but RX will always reign supreme.

matt embree has such a lovely voice.
the resignation is my favourite record.
i think it blends new and old to fantastic effect.
i'm still waiting to see them live which sucks. i think i got into them just after they last came near me, which is something that always seems to happen.

Aren't the RX Bandits a pop-punk band?
Haven't listened to them since probably '98/99 so excuse the foggy memory but that's the kind of stuff I was into back then so I may have them muddled up a bit.

they released Halfway Between Here and There in '99 so maybe that's what you were listening to? either that or those damn bandits which is a third wave ska record (+pretty boring imo).
but they've progressed into a punky, progressive band while retaining their ska roots. you should check out some of their older stuff

No idea what album the tracks were from, that was the start of the CD mixtape era when everyone seemed to be listening to Less than Jake and Capdown.

The reason I asked was because I thought this was the wrong forum for them...

Yeah early RX Bandits was pretty much straight up ska/punk, extremely boring compared to where they are now. Check out any of their last 3 cd's and I'm sure you'll be blown away by how much they've changed.

They said in an interview they're working on new songs.
they said they have about 5.
The interview is on the myspace blog.
