I recently repartitioned my hard drive and installed Linux on my computer as well as windows. Prior to that, I had been running most of my programs from an external hard drive, which worked fine, but now I'm having some trouble with a lot of those programs. For instance, I can open up Powertab from its location on my external hard drive, but I can't open any Powertabs I download from this site. Whenever I try to open them, it says that the associated helper application does not exist, and I should change this in my preferences. If I right-click the Powertab and hit "Open with...", Powertab isn't on the list of programs, and if I browse for it, nothing happens. It won't appear on the list.

Also, whenever I try to open Itunes, I get a "Itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close" message.

Help?
