I haven't seen a thread about him and thought he deserved one. Awesome blues man.

I'm trying to get a fan page started on Facebook for him.

Cool.

Lefties playing righties ftw.

Ya, there is something about seeing a guitar upside down that kicks ass. If I have a right handed kid I'm going to make him learn to play a leftie guitar upside down for fun

I'm positive that Duane played on one of his albums, but I can't remember which.

^ Just looked it up and yup, that's the one.

Is the album any good?

I agree that Duane is not featured much, but it's still a good album. I know he was doing session work for other people, but I don't think he was probably a big enough name to warrant an overabundance of focus on the album. Still, having 2 good guitar players makes things better than not

It is an Otis Rush album, not Otis Rush & Duane Allman.

It's not necessarily the lack of focus on Duane, but where it says that weak material permeates the album. That's what makes me worry about.

Ah, well I haven't listened to it in awhile but I always thought it was good. Probably not one of his best, but good nonetheless.
